Looking at Acquisition of Small and Mid Sized Stressed Hospitals across India
A closely held family office investor with a multi-asset portfolio owns a chain of mid-sized hospitals in different tier 2 cities such as Jaipur, Udaipur, Indore, Nagpur to name a few.
They are happy to explore strategic investment opportunities in standalone or chain of hospitals across tier 2 cities in states such as Gujarat, MP, UP, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Telangana.
Minimum 100 beds for standalone and for chain of hospitals minimum 200 beds.
They prefer to invest under merger roll-up strategy which basically means the selling entity has to invest a certain amount in the group hospital and for which they will be issued roll-over shares. Exit strategy in later years can be through either IPO or equity buyout.
Looking for hospital deals which are under stress or looking for strategic equity investor for expansion or or be a part of bigger group to get benefits of economies of scale.
